SAA 2011 Research Forum

I had the pleasure to participate in the SAA 2011 Research Forum poster session, held this past August 23rd. My poster, “Application of Rapid Imaging Methods in a
Library-Archive-Museum Environment”, outlined the work I’ve been doing over the last year at the BFRC on rapid capture, and provided some possible next steps for our program. A pdf copy of the poster is available for download here.

The Opener

Welcome all to my new blog!

Now that I’m gainfully employed as an archivist I figured I would give the blogging thing another shot. My previous attempt to document my experiences in returning to grad school wasn’t all that successful. By the time I had finished school work, work work, and husbandfather work I was just too done to sit and write about it all. I’m expecting to have a bit more energy now that my responsibilities can be confined to 8-10 hours per day.

We’re doing some really interesting things at The Henry Ford that I’m planning to write about. Oh, and most likely a few posts along the way regarding the whole mid-life career change thing.

Thanks for reading.
